Edible table salt is mined from the salt deposits of underground rocks by the mining method and it is intended for manufacturing the food products, direct use with food as well as for use in various branches of the national economy.
Iodized salt is recommended for use when cooking, salting and canning. It is a preventive agent against endemic (iodine deficiency) goitre, children’s mental and physical retardation.
