The Starobin potash deposit is the mineral resources base of Belaruskali and is considered one of the largest deposits in the world. Today, Belaruskali's main production facilities are located in Soligorsk and Petrikov and include seven mines and five processing plants.

REPLENISHEMENT OF MINERAL RESERVES IS THE MOST IMPORTANT TASK AT THE CURRENT STAGE OF DEVELOPMENT OF THE STAROBIN DEPOSIT.

Two new mines were built within a few years, which helped resolve the issue of a reliable base of mineral resources for several decades. One of the new mines – Krasnoslobodsky Mine – will ensure the operation of PU 2 for more than 40 years. In addition, its outbalance reserves of 94 million tonnes are being considered for development. The Berezovsky mine, with estimated reserves of 247.5 million tonnes, was commissioned in 2012. When building new mines, the company implemented the latest developments in mines construction.

In May 2019, JSC Belaruskali started the construction of Darasinsky mine. The reserves of the Darasinskiy section of the Starobinskiy deposit amount to 180 million tonnes.

The reserves of the first potash level at PU1 and PU 4 are among the most promising for development. Improvements in potash extraction and processing technology allow us to consider the reserves at depths of over 1,000 metres as a source of replenishment of the ore base.

In 2021 Belaruskali also launched a full-fledged mining and processing plant at the Petrikov (Gomel region), with 1.8 billion tonnes of potash reserves.
